You're an artist, even if you're a retarded one.

I find it fascinating when someone's even less mature than the Clock Crew. I didn't think it was possible, but I'm seeing people who aren't joking about it. When you see someone who's an awful artist, don't tell them about it in public. Send them a private message and let them know that you want to see them making more and more (especially if you really don't.)

People don't get better from being discouraged into stopping, or even from creating only when they have their NEXT BIG IDEA. Get them to create all the time for any reason or no reason at all, they'll improve much faster. Even if they don't at least they're having fun without having to worry about what people think. Not everybody is as comfortable with churning out garbage as the CC, and it makes me feel really sick when I see people telling these guys that their art is worthless. People who have zero movie, game, art, an audio submissions, but 750 medal points and 4000 forum posts so you know they're an authority on anything.

tl;dr: if someone's dumb cartoon looks like a kid made it, a kid probably made it and they aren't looking for profane criticism. Probably not even polite-but-not-constructive criticism, either, but I guess that's more of the reviewer's personality and there's nothing wrong with that.

I generally send private messages to people who are really good but just aren't getting an audience, to egg them on, but shit. I'm going to stop only watching things while they're under judgement so I can make sure artists are getting at least some encouragement.

ALSO, LOOK! SOMEONE REMEMBERED MY BIRTHDAY.

You're an artist, even if you're a retarded one.

Fully agree, I like your positive attitude and how you go out of your way to make somebody's day an encourage them. Means alot to people

If it's abusive to the author you can always mark a review as abusive. ;D

Eh, it usually isn't.
